Biker Charities was started by me. As a result of my publishing many biker related internet sites, and my dedicated involvement in the biker community, I constantly get requests for some kind of assistance. Often the requests come from non-bikers who think bikers are “wallets on wheels” because they help many charitable causes. Bikers have been helping all kinds of charities for years, but when a biker needs help, there is often nobody there to help them! Things like poker runs are put together at the last minute and that’s a good thing, but they are often scheduled too far away, and the emergency assistance needed might be right now.
It is time to help our own.
Neither I nor anyone in my family are eligible to be recipients. I have not collected any salary and do not plan to collect any salary unless it begins to require constant attention.
I provided the initial seed money for it. Bikers in time of need have already been helped through the emergency assistance fund. The CA ABATE Judicial Fund has also been helped. This was due to a donation specifically earmarked for the fund, and 100% of the money donated was transferred. Some people who give to Biker Charities might want funds earmarked to be spent for a particular cause, or individual.
Anyone who questions, or has doubts as to the intentions of Biker Charities or questions my integrity, please call me at 919-342-0403.
If anyone knows anyone who is as dedicated to the biker way of life, and has as much integrity as me, I would like to speak to them to see if they would like to become involved. Volunteers to screen requests for assistance will be needed.
Indeed, the web site does need a lot of work in order to clarify things. I have updated the first page of the site to show my salary to date, and the office expenses to date. Speaking of expenses, I suspect the only other thing to mention is that the price of stamps is going up, so buy your liberty stamps now. :^)
